According to preliminary flash estimates, GDP increased 0.2% on a quarterly basis in the EU and eurozone between July and September.
According to preliminary figures released on Monday, the euro area
and the EU's GDP both increased 0.2% quarter over quarter from July to September.
GDP increased by 0.8% in the euro area (those that utilise the euro) and 0.7% in the EU27 in the second quarter of 2022.
In the three months leading up to September, GDP increased 2.1% in the euro area and 2.4% across the EU on an annual basis.
The annual growth rate in both zones dropped from the previous quarter's 4.3%.
.Sweden had the highest growth rate among the member states for whom third-quarter data are available in 2022
followed by Italy (up 0.5%), Portugal, and Lithuania (both up 0.4%).
