Beyoncé and Madonna Collaborate on "Break My Soul"

Only a week after the release of her critically acclaimed "Renaissance" album, Beyoncé is giving her fans more music to dance to.

The singer on Wednesday released an EP of "Break My Soul" remixes by Terry Hunter, Honey Dijon, Nita Aviance, and Will. I.Am.

Beyoncé released a new version of the disco-inspired song today, this time with none other than Madonna.

However, it seems that Madonna only recorded a few spoken words for the remix and otherwise used snippets of previously released

Songs from the past, particularly "Vogue," were thrown in. Currently, "Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)" can only be purchased for $1.29 on Bey's website.

Upon purchase, the song will arrive in fans' emails. No current information suggests that the remix will be available on streaming services.

Bey names-drops legendary Black musicians like Aaliyah, Nina Simone, and her sister, Solange Knowles, emulating Madonna's iconic spoken-word section of "Vogue."

Naturally, Beyoncé also makes mention of Madonna, who doesn't really make an appearance on the song other than a "Vogue" sample.

Beyoncé performs a song called "Queen Mother Madonna, Aaliyah, Rosetta Tharpe, Santigold, Bessie Smith, Nina Simone, Betty Davis, and Solange Knowles.

"Break My Soul" was referred to by Ilana Kaplan in Variety's review of "Renaissance" as "a necessary balm and 'hot girl summer' anthem to usher in this new era.

But it was also a great song to highlight the album's 16 tracks of experimental, retro-futuristic music.
