Back for the Los Angeles Clippers is Kawhi Leonard.
According to Clippers coach Tyronn Lue, the two-time Finals MVP will play on Thursday against the Detroit Pistons.
This will be his first game in 12 after missing more than three weeks due to problems with his recovering knee.
After tearing his ACL during the 2021 playoffs, Leonard missed the entire 2018–19 season.
He then made two of the first three games of this year's campaign from the bench.
However, he will start on Thursday, making his first start for the Clippers since the beginning of his injury.
The Clippers had been treading water while waiting for Leonard to get well following his layoff, which was a familiar situation.
Waiting for Leonard and Paul George to become healthy consumed the entirety of last season, but the former obviously never occurred.
The Clippers, who are currently eighth in the Western Conference with an 8-7 record,
will be hoping that Leonard's return will allow one of the NBA's most talented teams to finally reach its full potential
