Finally, Control 2 is taking place

It has been revealed by Remedy and 505 Games that Control 2 is finally in development.

The stylish sci-fi action game Control's sequel is currently in development, Remedy Entertainment has finally announced.

The original Control was released in 2019 for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S (Xbox SX/S),

PC, and Nintendo Switch by the company that created the Alan Wake video game series. The game's art and design won several gaming awards.

Since its release, the game has sold over 3 million copies, earning a bigger, more expensive Control 2 sequel that was just announced.

Destructoid reports that Remedy won't be working on the sequel by themselves. Instead,

the business will collaborate with publisher 505 Games to produce the upcoming release.

The studio representative also thanked players and fans for helping their new game—which strangely reminds one of Alan Wake—become a runaway hit.

Assassin's Creed originally began as a concept for the Prince of Persia sequel, and Control 2 is currently in the conceptualization stage.

This is supported by the $51 million (€50 million) initial investment made by Remedy into the co-development and co-publishing agreement with 505 5ames,

According to the company, the game will be created using Northlight, the studio's in-house gaming engine that also powered the first game.
