A jackpot-winning Powerball ticket worth $754.6 million was bought in Washington state for Monday's drawing and is the ninth-biggest prize in U.S. lottery history.
If the winner chooses the cash option, the prize is $407.2 million before taxes.
In addition, six second-prize tickets worth at least $1 million were purchased across the country, including three in New York.
Monday's winning numbers were: 5, 11, 22, 23 and 69.
The Powerball was 7, with a Power Play of 2X.Before Monday, no one had hit the Powerball jackpot since Nov. 19 when a $92.9 prize was won in Kansas — 34 drawings ago.
One of the New York tickets was bought in Lower Manhattan — at Liberty News and Gifts on South Street, lottery officials said.
A ticket bought in Texas is worth $2 million because the winner spent an extra $1 for the Power Play option.
The other $1 million ticket matching five numbers but not the Powerball was sold in Michigan.
New Jersey Lottery officials will disclose later Tuesday whether any third-prize tickets — worth at least $50,000 — were bought in the state.
In addition, no one won the secondary, $10 million Double Play drawing held after the main drawing Monday.
The Double Play numbers drawn were 14, 19, 58, 59 and 68.
The Double Play number drawn was 16.The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1.
Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing is worth an estimated $31 million with a cash option of $16.6 million.
